A peak limiter guards against clipping; MP3 exports leave extra headroom to reduce distortion. Large gain increases can flatten dynamics. Fades longer than the selection use the selection length. Higher gate thresholds can remove quiet speech; compare the result before downloading.

What you can do with this tool

Cut an MP3 excerpt without installing a desktop editor.
Prepare a ringtone-length clip with the 15, 20, 30 or 40 second presets.

Settings that make a difference

The selected range must fit inside the source. A preset needs a source that is long enough.
Start with short fades to avoid abrupt boundaries. A fade longer than the selection is limited to the selection length.
Keep the original recording. Re-encoding MP3 is lossy; use WAV when you need an uncompressed intermediate for further editing.

Common questions

Can I trim an MP3 and download WAV?

Yes. Choose the time range, select WAV as the output format and export. Converting to WAV does not restore detail already lost in the MP3.

Does a ringtone clip install itself on my phone?

No. Installation is separate and depends on your phone. This tool exports WAV and MP3, not AAC M4R.

Why does a 30-second preset fail on my short file?

The selected range must exist in the source. Choose a shorter preset or set Start and End manually.

Privacy

The editor writes media to a local worker. No media upload endpoint, analytics or ad scripts are implemented. Automated request checks verify no media uploads on the tested processing paths. Cancel terminates the worker; reset releases preview URLs.
