How to use Audio Converter
- Choose a supported audio file, or a video with sound.
- Choose WAV or MP3, sample rate and channels. MP3 bitrate affects size and quality; WAV is usually larger.
- Play the converted audio, then download. Converting a low-quality source cannot restore lost detail.
What you can do with this tool
- Convert a supported FLAC, OGG or M4A recording into an MP3 sharing file.
- Prepare a mono WAV for an editing workflow or a smaller MP3 for everyday listening.
Settings that make a difference
- Choose WAV for uncompressed output. It is often larger than MP3 and cannot restore information lost earlier.
- Choose 44100 or 48000 Hz if you need a high MP3 bitrate. At 22050 Hz the interface restricts incompatible higher choices.
- Changing stereo to mono combines channels. Preview the result because source phase and balance can affect the sound.
Common questions
Can I convert M4A or FLAC to MP3?
Yes, when the bundled engine can decode the actual codec in the source. Choose MP3 as output and check the preview. An extension alone does not guarantee support.
Does a higher bitrate improve an existing MP3?
It can increase the file size but cannot recover detail already removed by lossy encoding. Keep the original and avoid unnecessary repeated conversions.
Do I need to register or upload the recording?
No account is required. Media processing runs in your browser on your device; the site downloads its processing engine rather than uploading your recording.
Privacy
The editor writes media to a local worker. No media upload endpoint, analytics or ad scripts are implemented. Automated request checks verify no media uploads on the tested processing paths. Cancel terminates the worker; reset releases preview URLs.

Use “Reuse last session file” on the next editor. The service worker holds at most one source file in memory; browsers may discard it between visits.
